project 4: Extra Tasks

This is an image I took of Matt, I added in his "Label 757" cutting out the text where the strings are over the letters. I also added curves and saturation then masked a circle around him and feathered then use the blur tool to make a radial blur in my desired location

The original Galaxy Jump photo I took on high continuous on a Canon G7X Mark II

This is the edited version of the Galaxy Jump I made. I colour ranged to select the sky then deleted it. I used the image from "https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap140212.html". I also used curves to edit the look of Matt and the background of where he is jumping. Since it did not look dark enough but if I did then my model would be too dark. To do this, I masked out Matt and desaturated the background whilst keeping Matt saturated and bright. I then used vanishing point to add his "Label 757" logo to his back and then proceeded to add gradients from black to transparent to make it look realistic. I had to copy and paste several times using different blend modes to cover the ripples of his hoodie with the logo to make it look realistic. I then added some rain effects and called it a day.

I named this piece, "Waves of the Wind" since after I had used curves and saturation to pop the colours of the photo, the leaves looked like waves hence the name.

The original image with some nice leading lines.

This is the edited version where I sky replaced with a gradient of pink to a steel blue colour. I used curves and vibrance to make the colours pop and used Photoshops in-built lens flare to the photo.

This is the edited version where, after I resized, I added the hue and saturation and desaturated all the colours apart from the green. I also had to copy the layer and then mask out the green hills to make just the hedges to be colourised. This resulted in this photo.

Edited version - Taken from G7X through the viewfinder of a Nikon D3000 I duplicated the layer 3 times, added a level histogram to each where I split the layers into RGB layers. I then scaled up the red layer to make this 3d glasses effect. I then used curves and vibrance and a spherical warp to make this pinched effect.

Edited version V2 - Taken from G7X through the viewfinder of a Nikon D3000 This is the editied version where I used simple curves and vibrance to make a pop to the photo. I added another layer to go behind the first which I cut out just the viewfinder part. I then ramped up the curves to make a glow effect.
